As guests arrived at each location, we greeted them, took an instant snapshot of them and had them post it on our blackboard. We then asked them to draw lines between themselves and everyone they knew in the room. What we discovered was there really was only 3 degrees of separation. . .
Activities were created to showcase our unique team members [candy at Kathy’s desk, A’s in Audrey’s office, and ducks in Keri’s space], our playful culture [Mario Cart, Heads Up!, sailor hats], and to start dialogue [a conversation ball pit was featured in each location]. Connections were made, fun was had, and clients and partners alike were able to feel the “e” way and made a few friends as a bonus.
Today, we can’t create the same experience. Our offices are empty, our team is spread out [virtually everywhere!], and a conversation pit of 15,000 ping pong balls is a COVID nightmare. What we can do is develop a way for connections to still happen and for our clients and our partners to come together to start dialogue about important, truthful and timely conversations that matter. We can reach deep into our experience and history and share stories, but most importantly we can listen and learn from you, hear what you want to talk about, and create a conversation. Hopefully we all make a few new friends as a bonus!
This is why
[Conversation Matters]
with e=mc2
events was created.
We will launch the this website and provide a link on Sept. 14th, but we ask that you save the date and time [Sept. 22nd at 2 p.m. EST]. We have an amazing host [Dave Kelly] and a wicked featured "e" conversationalist [Jocelyn Flanagan] ready to talk about survival, sacrifices, wisdom, and Jocelyn’s take on the events/industry in 2021 and beyond. As you register, you will be asked to contribute topics that matter to you; this content will drive all of our future conversations.
If you are an event planner or an event company in Toronto or Dubai [or anywhere in the world] and you are reading this, you are part of our 3 degrees of “e”, so invite two friends and let’s connect and create new friends and new opportunities.
