LNG & MNT HISTORIC SIGNING CEREMONY

The LNG Canada & MNT Investments Announcement brought together approximately 150 invited leaders, dignitaries, and industry partners at LNG Canada’s active liquefied natural gas facility in Kitimat, British Columbia. The gathering marked a historic partnership agreement creating one of the country's most significant Indigenous infrastructure ownership opportunities.

Guests arrived via coordinated shuttles into a dedicated reception, transitioned into a formal program opened by the Haisla Braid drummers, and took part in keynote addresses from First Nations leadership and senior government ministers.

The ceremony culminated in an emotional multi-party document signing and a commemorative coin presentation, celebrating economic reconciliation and a transformative step forward for Canada’s energy future.

  • The "e" Way

Our approach to storytelling was anchored in authentic connection, ensuring the human and cultural significance of the milestone resonated above the industrial setting.

Rather than staging the ceremony in a detached off-site ballroom, we positioned guests directly on the raw ground of the proposed expansion, framing their view against the existing Phase 1 storage tank.

Opening the ceremony with the thunderous heartbeat of the Haisla Braid drum entrance and honour songs, we bridged industrial scale with ancestral tradition, creating an emotional, reverent atmosphere that turned a high-stakes commercial signing into a shared celebration of mutual respect and partnership.

  • What People Are Saying

“Working inside an active industrial facility comes with intense operational rigor, but the moment the Haisla Braid drummers led in the hereditary and elected leadership, the entire tent fell still. It wasn't just a signing ceremony; it was a deeply emotional, historic day that none of us will ever forget.”

The Event

The gathering was defined by rigorous logistical precision, destination management, and duty of care. Every piece of infrastructure was trucked from Calgary, supported by mandatory safety screenings and full personal protective equipment for all setup crew. We established a controlled safety perimeter on the active site so guests could experience the ceremony comfortably, backed by dedicated heat-mitigation and hydration plans. Clear wayfinding signage, coordinated bus convoys, and structured media staging ensured smooth transitions, finishing with an emotional group photo opportunity that captured all five participating First Nations alongside corporate leadership.

The Production

The build required meticulous planning within a strictly regulated, high-hazard industrial environment. Operating under strict spark-mitigation protocols and intrinsically safe equipment guidelines, our production team mobilized custom staging, clean acoustic audio arrays, and high-visibility displays into a remote coastal setting. Every element was coordinated alongside the facility’s construction workforce and union labour schedules, featuring a minimalist executive podium, low-profile stage design that respected camera angles for the multi-party signing table, and flawless audio distribution capable of overcoming ambient industrial sound without intruding on traditional drum performances.
