We produced the Ducks Unlimited Calgary Dinner and Auction in 2015 and transformed the North Hall of the Calgary Telus Convention Centre into two separate spaces to make room for dining and reception areas.

Ducks Unlimited Canada has worked to restore, conserve, restore, and manage Canadian Wetlands for over 80 years. We were proud to partner with them for this fundraising event.

The Experience

The reception and silent auction area was designed as a marshland the ducks would be proud of with camouflage drape, local grasses and foliage, robotic ducks, and a pond! Immersed in scent scaping to smell like fresh grass after the rain, as well as a curated sound design recorded at a local park, this indoor marshland touched all of the senses and varied depending on where you stood within the space.

The dinner section of the room was enveloped in blue light and water gobos and featured a 100ft screen with custom curated visuals filmed at a local marshland. Local celebrity, Dave Kelly hosted the evening's festivities both from the stage as well as the back of an F150 truck helping to give away a wide variety of raffle and auction items such as jewelry, artwork, get-a-ways, wood carvings and even the very truck he was standing in!
