Canada’s Walk of Fame (CWOF) celebrates Canadians who have excelled in their respective fields and inspire the next generation. To celebrate the current year’s inductees, an annual celebration is held which culminates in a televised special that celebrates the achievements of Canada’s finest stars. The inductee broadcast was combined with the gala to form a Golden Globes style event with a celebratory dinner and broadcast ceremony.

  • The Experience

    The Canada's Walk of Fame event is made up of four segments:


    Red Carpet Celebration 

    Guests arrived at the hustle and bustle of a red carpet media scrum, passing all of the inductees, presenters, and performers as multiple media captured interviews, photos, and videos.  


    Pre-Reception

    The pre-reception was engaging and inspiring. Each guest had the opportunity to mingle with past and future inductees and engage with some of the country's most prominent Canadians. 


    Induction Gala

    1,000 guests were then ushered to their seats for their gala dinner, which included multiple performances and moments to celebrate the inductees and honourees. 


    22 presenters, including the likes of Margaret Atwood, Peter Mansbridge, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Andre De Grasse, Joel Silver and many more, made impactful speeches that honoured the inductees. Howie Mandel appeared as a hologram for a special Just For Laughs moment with Deborah Cox.


    This year's inductees were Arkells, Lionel Conacher, Deborah Cox, Director X, Barbara Frum, Just For Laughs, Tatiana Maslany, Heather Reisman, James Temery, and The Tradically Hip. 


    The Performances were hand-picked to create impact and included a 10-member CWOF choir, including; Donovan Woods, Tynomi Banks and Jada Shada Hudson - from Canada’s Drag Race, Juno artist James Baley, and members of the Kiki Ballroom Dance Alliance.


    Each of these moments was captured for the broadcast show aired on CTV.


    After Party

    Inductees and guest celebrated and posed for photos at the fabulous afterparty. 

  • Whizbang Moment

    The Whizbang moment for this event was personal to our founder, Jocelyn Flanagan. 


    When Deborah Cox came into the room for her pre-show rehearsal the 240 feet of screens were filled with incredible images of her, the spotlight was on Deborah's “Star” on the “Walk of Fame” carpet, and one of her songs was playing. A few tears were shed as Deborah was overwhelmed with joy, humility, excitement, and true pride of being inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame.
