  • Big wins for "e" at the CEIA's in Toronto

TORONTO (April 22nd, 2015) – Jocelyn Flanagan, CEO of e=mc2 events, was recently
presented with the Spirit of the Industry Award at the Star Awards Gala during the 2015
Canadian Special Events Conference – one of the highest honours in the national event
    management industry.

The Spirit of the Industry Award recognizes the person who over the span of his or her
career has demonstrated their commitment to the special events industry and who
recognizes the importance special events play in our corporate and social culture.

"It is an honour to be up on stage in front of my peers, colleagues and friends in the industry
that I truly love,” Flanagan said. “We are so fortunate to be able to work in such a dynamic
industry where we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible.

“I am blessed to work side by side with such amazing people – partners, vendors,
competitors and friends. We push each other year over year to raise the bar across the
country and across the globe and I am thrilled to play my part in this journey."

Flanagan wasn’t the company’s only award winner on the evening.

Of the five nominations that e=mc2 events received in a variety of categories at the awards
gala, it won the Best Event Produced for a Corporation by a Third Party Planner for Vermilion
Energy Inc.’s "Celebrate 20" event, in recognition of the energy company’s 20th anniversary.
The event was produced by Dwayne Maurer and coordinated by Afton Koutzon.
